Clowns for Christ (15 minutes) Ages 11-up As a shy teenager Norina joins a Christian clown troupe and travels to see the pope. An essay version of this story was featured in Oregon Humanities Magazine:Read Essay
My Kontiki (15 minutes) Ages 12-up In the spirit of Thor Hyderdal, Norina attempts to walk 31 miles in a single night. This story was the winner of the 2019 One Voice Storyslam in Beaverton Oregon.
The Sausage Date (10 minutes) Ages 13-up An experimental internet date backfires when Norina become stranded on a Hippie Farm and makes sausage for 7 hours. This story was a winner of the Moth Storyslam competition.
The Potluck (10 minutes) Ages 18-up After accidentally ingesting marijuana at a potluck, a series of bizarre and paranoid events.
Underground Cat Rescue (10 minutes) This story chronicles Norina's misadventures trying to save a feral cat, trespassing and getting lost underground.
These programs are a mixture of personal narrative and folk tales are drawn from 15 years of classroom and community storytelling. All stories are told from memory, with humor, drama, and audience participation.
